We are happy to announce that Dom Kullander will be taking over as STAN Chair from 1st July 2024. Dom will take over from Kayleigh Edwards, who has served a 3-year term.
Dom says:
In 2024, we celebrate 60 years of student television in the UK. Throughout that time, everyone who has graduated and left their student station has automatically joined a nation-wide network of alumni. As the incoming STAN Chair, I am committed to serving and unlocking the vast potential of this community.
Being a student television alumnus comes with numerous benefits, and our committee is dedicated to making it easier than ever for you to reap these rewards. We will keep you informed on the latest news, articles, and STAN events. You'll have the chance to remain connected with our vibrant community, and those who wish will be enabled to give back their time and expertise to the current student community.
Kayleigh has been an outstanding Chair. Her enthusiasm, diligence and calm authority have been instrumental in the growth of STAN, and I am delighted that she will continue to serve as a key member on the committee in the coming years.

Kayleigh says:
I’ve had a wonderful 3 years as Chair, and the time has flown by! In 2021 we were still very much impacted by Covid restrictions and were pushing on with virtual quizzes and events. Since then, we’ve been able to launch a successful Mentoring Scheme, we’ve got a shiny new website and a regular newsletter.
As I reflect on the last few years, I’ve really enjoyed that we’ve been able to reach out to, and meet, more alumni. The last two NaSTA Conferences and Awards have been really great platforms for us, where we’ve been able to raise our profile and recruit new STAN Committee members.
Thanks to everyone who has got involved, it certainly makes our job a lot easier! I’ll still be an Ordinary Committee Member and around to support any and all of the new initiatives, and I’m incredibly excited to see where Dom takes us next!
