As we prepare for NaSTA 51 in Manchester, we thought we'd give our network a sneak peek of what we've got coming up.
We'll be one of the exhibitors in the exhibition area, please come and say 'Hi' to us, and you'll be able to get your hands on one of our exclusive pens.
Typically, the STAN Committee judges the Best Event Coverage award, but this year we've pulled together a brilliant panel of alumni who watched and judged all 18 entries. With huge thanks to Leah Blackaby, Tom Brown and Josh Rom for volunteering their time and expertise for this. Look out for the winner to be announced on April 6th!
We're also putting on a conference session where our very own Dan Orton will be chairing a panel of recent graduates to talk about their journeys since graduating and give current students some top tips. Our panel includes Hannah McCann (MCR Operator, IMG), Selin Izzet (Channel Coordinator at Moonbug), Jude Sampson (Assistant Producer at Sky Creative) & Alex Buckmaster (Freelance Production Assistant).
Plus, we can exclusively reveal our next two, brand new initiatives!
'Ask An Alum' and a CV Clinic. With the former, we'll be connecting our vast Student Television Alumni Network and current students by asking students to email in questions that we'll then match up to an alumni to answer. This could be anything from, how to get started in the TV industry to how to set up a live stream for an AGM!
With the CV Clinic, we've created an email address CV-Clinic@nasta.tv where NaSTA members can email in their CVs and ask for tips. We'll have industry professionals and hiring managers take a look and give feedback.
We'll be releasing the finer details shortly, but meanwhile if you want to find out more please get in touch with the team at alumni@nasta.tv
